ArtHax LLC ("ArtHax," "we," "us", "me", "he/him", "they") provides apps, scripts, experiences, and makes shit. This policy covers all of the above. TL;DR: we collect as little as we can, and we don't sell anything we do collect.
what we collect on this website
- Nothing. No analytics scripts, no third-party trackers, no advertising pixels.
- Standard server access logs (IP, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) may be retained briefly by our hosting provider for security and reliability. We do not use these to profile visitors.
- If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply.
what our apps collect
Our apps are local-first and we do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers. Collection varies by app and feature:
- No general ArtHax user account. Most apps do not require you to sign in.
- StixCut diagnostics and announcements. StixCut may contact our server when checking for in-app announcements. That request includes a randomly generated per-install identifier, app version, operating-system family, and release channel. We use this basic technical information for service logging, compatibility, release adoption, and troubleshooting, not advertising or cross-service tracking. Standard server logs may also include IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent.
- StixCut licensing. Builds that use direct StixCut licensing send the email address and registration/license information needed to activate or renew a license, along with a per-install device identifier. Activation records may retain the license identifier, device identifier, IP address, and activation time so we can enforce activation limits and provide support. Payment and subscription information is also processed by the applicable payment provider, such as Square.
- Local preferences and files. Application preferences and content you create are primarily stored on your device in standard temp/preference/settings/application support locations. Some apps may use operating-system services such as Apple iCloud to sync selected user-owned preferences between your own devices. ArtHax does not receive or control that iCloud-synced preference data.
- Feature-specific third parties. If an app requests a system permission (for example location, screen recording, or printer access), it uses that permission for the feature you invoked. Some features may send the minimum information needed to the platform or public service that provides the requested result. For example, Waves may send a location or selected map coordinate to Apple or public weather/marine-data services to retrieve conditions for that place.

Our website is hosted by a standard cloud provider. Scripts, CSS, Images are all self-hosted. Font files are either self-hosted or loaded from Google Fonts. We do not embed social media trackers, advertising networks, or session replay tools. Although almost everyone else out there does.
Our apps are hosted on other services, such as GitHub, RoutineHub, App Stores, and others - and links to these are clearly labeled. Apps may also use platform services such as Apple iCloud or WeatherKit, public data providers such as NOAA/NWS, payment processors such as Square, and ArtHax-operated services such as StixCut licensing and announcement delivery. Those third-party services have their own privacy policies and operational logs.
Credit card purchases, in-person or elsehwere, are handled by Square. There could be some data sharing involved, but we don't control that and would prefer to not be involved.

Our products and site are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. They're mostly too annoying to deal with.
your rights
You may request deletion of information, or ask what we have on file, by writing to . For most apps there is little or nothing stored by ArtHax; StixCut licensing and service logs are the main exceptions described above.
